Hudiksvallsbygdens Parish is beautifully located by the sea in northern Hälsingland and consists of both rural and urban areas. There are good communications both north and south. The parish aims to be a church for the whole of life, a place for growth for people living and staying in the parish.

The parish has 36 employees, including a hospital priest and hospital deacon at Hudiksvall Hospital. There are six churches and seven fishing chapels.

The confirmation and youth work is characterized by a desire to be a place for young people where they can grow in faith and as individuals. Currently, there are two different confirmation options: summer confirmation camps and autumn and spring groups with pilgrimage elements, which can also be an option for young people in need of a small group. Leadership training is conducted every year for young people who want to continue as young leaders after confirmation. There is a strong voluntary commitment from young confirmation leaders. The parish collaborates with several primary and secondary schools. The parish also has Hudik Soul Children/Teens (youth choir) and a newly started Youth Hangout after school.

Job description

The position is a permanent position as an assistant minister in the parish. You will serve every other weekend in services, as well as at the parish's weekly masses, church ceremonies, and conversations. The advertised position has a focus on meetings with confirmands and youth.

You will, together with other employees, help develop the work among confirmands, youth, and young confirmation leaders. You will also collaborate with schools and community organizations.

The position involves work in the evenings and weekends as well as camp stays.

Employed staff participate weekly in staff gatherings and other joint meetings.
